Overview
The Traveler Package is focused on two outcomes: helping you get to a place of Brand Clarity, and bringing that clarity to life through design.
We’ll work together to ensure that at the end of this process you are equipped with both a clear framework through which future brand-related decisions, plans and goals can take shape, and a complete suite of visual elements that will empower you to execute on those plans and goals.
How it Works
This package will be executed in 2 stages. We’ll start by establishing your brand’s foundation through Brand Clarity, and then translate that into design.
Stage 1: Brand Clarity
We will lay the groundwork for your brand by working together to define 7 essential brand pillars. These are essential foundational structures that, once established, will ensure your brand is aligned with who you are and where you’re headed.
Week by week we will work collaboratively to get completely clear on the following pillars of your brand:
- Audience: Who are your people?
- Contemporaries: Who are your peers?
- Values: What are your fundamental beliefs?
- Tone: What is your brand's emotional expression?
- Promise: What commitment will you make to your people?
- Story: What narrative do you want to share?
- Mood: How does your tone translate into imagery?
Stage 2: Brand Identity
In this stage of the process our focus will be on translating the clarity we established in Stage 1 to a core suite of visual elements that are signature to your brand.
Through the process, we’ll design your brand’s:
- Color Palette: A suite of custom colors that will encompass primary, highlight and neutral roles in your brand's design.
- Signature Typography: A pairing of complementary typefaces specified for both online and offline use.
- Logo System: Primary and secondary logo marks that are designed to adapt to usage in a variety of different applications and contexts.
- Supporting Graphic Elements: This piece of the puzzle will manifest itself in different ways based on your unique brand, but may include photography, textures, patterns or other design elements.
What you get:
This package will be executed in 2 stages. We’ll start by establishing your brand’s foundation through Brand Clarity, and then translate that into design.
Stage 1: Brand Clarity
At the end of this stage of our work together, you will receive a custom Brand Map.
This PDF document will outline all of the key pillars of your brand in an easy-to-reference format that will empower you to make aligned choices with confidence and ease.
Stage 2: Brand Identity
In addition to the creation of your brand’s visual world, you’ll receive a complete suite of brand assets that will empower you to start reaching out, making connections, and doing the work you’re inspired to do. This will include:
- Logo asset* files: in full color, grayscale, black and white
- Color swatches: formatted for CMYK, RGB, PMS and HEX.
- Typeface links or downloads: If typefaces are free (such as through Google Fonts) you'll receive the full set of files directly. Otherwise, you'll be provided with links and instructions to purchase licenses on your own.
- Graphic element assets*: Whether your graphics include photos or patterns or something else, you will receive all the files necessary to start using them on your own.
- Style Guide: Your entire visual brand will be laid out in a PDF guide for your easy reference. In addition to a breakdown of all the elements, the guide will include instructions for implementation and best practices.
* All assets will be formatted for both online and offline use.
Commitment
The Traveler Package encompasses a 10-week process. The first four weeks will be devoted to Brand Clarity, and the following 6 weeks will be devoted to Brand Identity.
Stage 1 will be highly collaborative. There will be some preliminary exercises for you to work through prior to kicking things off, additional exercises to complete during certain weeks, as well as work put together by me to review and discuss weekly.
As we move into design, most of the work in Stage 2 will be completed by me. Your role in the process will still be a collaborative one, but your time commitment will for the most part involve reviewing and discussing the work that I produce.
